if ur out there mike starr, u need to know something. not everyone wants to trash ur name. not everyone thinks u are a joke. im here to tell u there are alot of people, me more than most, who love and respect u and what u did for alice in chains. ur charisma and passion for ur music shone through whether it be on video, live or in the studio. there is no one who can take that away from u. i cannot believe how jealousy and bitterness causes people to badmouth and libel people they dont even know. i do know however that if i had the chance to know u as a person and not as the "starr" that u are, i feel in my heart that they are wrong about u. u totally make it look easy. and that kind of talent doesnt come about every day. u had a great tone and i do think that mr inez is a great bass player and took aic on a continuing journey to a more melodic and sophisticated place but u were the raw sexuality, the hungry years, the playful, headbanging aic that i will always love first and foremost. i really think that u ought to know that and if the chance comes and u are reading this, just know that it was typed by a girl who loves u and respects u and would love to sit and listen to u tell stories about urself and the band, to listen to u play, and to talk about music, life, and ur beliefs. god only knows what an interesting and intelligent person u must be to have so many people teeming with jealousy that they have nothing better to do than write terrible things about u. no one can feel the losses that u felt, obviously ur real friends and family love u so much that they support u and what ever u feel u have to do right now. i miss u and feel that u should be a part of the reunion in atlantic city. all ur real fans and friends and people who would like to know u do. love alice insane
