Subject: Garbanzo Dip

* 13-ounce can garbanzos
* 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
* 1/8 teaspoon pepper
* 3 cloves garlic,chopped
* 1/2 cup salad oil
* 1/4 cup lemon juice
* 2 tablespoons parsley,chopped

Drain chickpeas through sieve and wash under cold running water until
water runs clear.Place in blender with salt,pepper,garlic and
lemon juice.Blend;add salad oil blended with a bit of olive oil if
you prefer a denser mix)while blender is running,until smooth.If
desired,add 1 extra tablespoon of oil to make the mixture more
liquid.

Remove from blender container and combine with parsley. Chill
thoroughly.Garnish with extra parsley.Makes 2 cups.
