I really believe that the way the Vetrans Administration gets us to the Outpatient clinics throughout the nation needs to be revamped.

When you go in people at the computer terminal ask you for your last initial and the last four numbers of your SSN.
This works great if yours is the only name (initial) with the unique last four.

However, the more it seems allot of people with the same last initial are having the same last four numbers of SSN.

This means people who don't get mail or e mail verification to come in and talk means that they are possibily going to have to travel a long distance at their own expense and find out they are to be 'sent home.'

It's o.k. if they come across with a ememrgency placement and give you an appointment to handle the need while you're there.

But the cavalier attitude of saying..ooops, our fault, go home makes the office staff look incompetent and useless.

When you go in for an appointment make sure you have a written record of the appointment before you show up.

If you confirm with your last initial and last four numbers of your social security number, you could be wasting your time and money.
