I groomed him and tacked him up and he was very jumpy and nervous so i decided to put that energy to good use. so we went out to the eventing arena and did an hours worth of cross country jumps, jumping up to 5'. he was so good! not one refusaul. he had plenty of energy to do all of these, and we i decided to call it quits, he was looking around like ok, now were are the real jumps? so i decided to take him out on the River Trail to cool him out and try to calm him down. so we went off to do that. right in the middle of the trail ride a deer came bounding arcoss our path.... boy that was a suprise, he jump like 10' backwards (well it seemed like it) then just stood there snorting... finally he calmed down and we finished our trail ride peacefully. we got back and i gave him a nice warm bath and a good grooming.
