For 2nd dan grading it is more flexible.
Basic things you need to do is just one pattern, qigong and sparring.
There is no exact syllabus on what you must do.

For me I did "Damo kun" for the pattern category.
Chop 10 bricks continuously for the qigong category.
For sparring, there are 2 rounds. First round is one vs. one. Second round is one vs. three.

Hope this will give you an idea what to do for the 2nd dan grading.

What do you mean when you said chop 10 bricks continuously??
You mean they place 1 brick on the support, you break it. Then they place another piece, you break it....and so on until it reach No. 10???? And why 10? Or can it be just 3 bricks in a stack???

Seem to be that the 2nd dan grading is easier than 1st dan grading. And how long must one wait after obtaining 1st dan before he/she can go for 2nd dan??

There is no grading syllabus for black belts.
Items to be tested are decided by mutual agreement between the applicant and his/her instructor.
The difficulty of the test will depends on what you choose.
Since for 1st dan a person would have break 3 bricks in a stack before, there is no point in doing the same thing again.

Tne time between 1st dan and 2nd dan will be from a year and a half to 2 years, regular attendance compulsory.
