Pertinex was never really one to embrace pups in a strain and huggle of warmth and tender love, because it wasn't the way he was brought up. Misunderstanding the concept of the word, never really embracing anyone in his lifetime except his own, the Beta studied the young female, and cocked his head to the side, before responding with that deep accented voice. "Ah..Valoris is it? Very well. I am Pertinex, Beta male and Phantom Mage of this pack." then leaning down, to perhaps intrigue the child, chuckling a little, and making a little sound blowing through charred lips to keep the youngin quite.
