Nostrils flared in a silent snort, eyes widened slightly as the sky lit up with the lightning. She looked back down at the young one right as a massive bolt of the lightning streaked from from the Heavens above and crashed with a hissing roar into the ground right beside her. Letting out a wild scream, she leapt to the side, feeling the immense heat of the bolt streak against her side. Her side, right behind her shoulder, was now heavily bleeding and stung like crazy. She snorted wildly, rearing slightly, she spun around, and fled off into the darkness of the storm. Her words whispered into the filly's mind, "Heed my words, young mare, or you will be hurt once again. I will see you again, maybe not soon, maybe not far into the future. But I do promise, we will meet again."

And with that, she was gone, off into the vicious conditions of the storm.
