Yea, I thought about those, and the aftermarket "race" radiators too.
The big problem is the engine oil cooler, the 'vette rad. doesn't have enough LH tank to install one, and GM uses those funny fittings (hard to adapt)
At least with a copper rad. it is easy to repair and modify. After pulling a tank on the plastic jobs is nearly impossible to re-seal them reliably.(IMO) And I assume that a custom built aluminum rad. would be cost prohibitive.
I may be being too "pickey" but I would like a "bolt-in" so I don't have to modify, trans lines, oil lines, hoses, shroud, etc.
Right now I'm still gathering ideas and may even talk myself into the 1 3/8" replacement.
I think the full size pick-ups are running the 1 3/8" core, only a wider rad. (more area)
