well, thats really all relative. its more a matter of, how well do you want to tow 5500 lbs. i can tow 4000 lbs with no problems. idealy, i wish i had a full ton dually with the duramax diesel engine. but the s-10 will do fine. if you tow in 3rd and dont go over 55 and take it easy. you will do fine.
