Here's the puzzle: (bear in mind that I think I have already made up my mind)
#1:When installing a trans. cooler the most transmission cooling can be achieved by adding the aux. cooler after the radiator in the return line to the transmission.

Pros-This way heat is dissipated to the coolant and cooled further by the aux. cooler.
Cons- The transmission will take longer to warm up and there will be no reduction in the transfer of heat to the engine cooling system.

#2: Installing the aux. cooler in the supply line before the radiator.

Pros-the precooled fluid transfers less heat to the engine coolant, and will be heated by the coolant for a quicker warm-ups in cold weather.
Cons-Aux. cooler will be hotter pre-heating the airflow entering the radiator behind it.

Gm's Helm manual shows the aux. cooler in the supply line coming from the transmission to the radiator (example #2)

The directions with my cooler show after the radiator in the return line to the transmission. (example #1)

Which way is the best for our trucks?
Need opinnions!
