Subject: Big Rad.& thermostat

Just thought I'd give you a heads-up for something that showed up on mine after the bigger rad. replacement.

I'm running the 180 stat and after the bigger radiator I'm getting an intermittent SES light.
It is not a big deal but here is what is happening:
The code PO128 is being set when the engine does not reach operating temperature within the 2 min. requirement.
What it appears is happening is that the thermostat opens takes in the coolant from the radiator which cools the sensor and with a larger reservoir of coolant in the radiator the 180* stat may be too close to the 2 min limit.

Solution: quick fix go back to the 195* stat.

Other ideas: relocate the (Engine Coolant Temperature) ECT sensor , or add resistance to the sensor wire.

This is the same problem I had when I tried to run the 160* stat.
