 I work in the Engineering field, and they do work nicely. You get what you pay for, so consider price. The ones we've bought for around $200 get us close to lat/long but not exact, 20/50 feet off from real coordinates.

The better ones will get you within +/- 1 foot, and elevation of .5 feet
