I have been thinking about the whole extended warranty issue, and have yet to make up my mind.
It is a gamble, if you buy one you are betting that you will have problems that will equal or exceed the amount you pay for it.
I know I can fix any problem I have so labor is not an issue, but time can be and some of the parts can be VERY expensive.
I have a friend that bought one for his Ford Expolder, his paid off when the ABS unit failed ($1500 bill).
From what little I know, $2000 for a bumper to bumper sounds about right.
I still don't know the right answer , for me, sorry I can't help you.
