Can't wait to find out what the problem was.
I've been trying to think of things that might have caused the failure.
Could the increased tire size, not calibrating the speedometer and the 3.42 gears have contributed?
By not calibrating the speedometer, the transmission would be shifting incorrectly due to the Vehicle Speed Sensor reading incorrectly.
The larger tires with the 3.42 gear ratio would increase transmission stress.
Do you think there could be a posibility these could have contributed?
I know that mine would probably be better with 4.10 gears, now. Seems like the old combination of the 29" tires and the 3.73 gears worked best for mileage and power.
You're making me nervous, I may bump up the Trans. cooler flush/filter and fluid to 20k. Maybe do them when I change radiators.
