S'har feels something else grab his ankle, something that feels suspiciously like a hand. He sees he is not far from the shallow water, so he kicks harder with his other leg, managing to propel himself forward until he is just a dragonlength from where he can touch. Reaching down, he disentangles the pale hand from around his ankle, and makes a mad jump to the sand, compact body hitting it with a resounding thump.

Reputh continues swimming, muscles bulging and lengthening under his reddish hide. On a sudden, wild urge, he dives deeply, then points his snout straight up. Faster and faster he swims, until he bursts from the surface, twirling in the air, brown hide gleaming in the tropical sun, before landing back in the wet.
