She understood her father's pain. She felt it too. She looked down at her mother's very pale hand, then at her barely moving chest. She closed her eyes and listened to her mother's faint hertbeat. It was barely there. She opened her eyes again, her other hand touching the blood soaked skirt. She didn't want her mother to die. But it was only a matter of minutes now. Her father wouldn't do the only thing that could save her mommy...
