Hearing someone try the door, he pauses his 'game' and turns down the volume of the radio - playing on the local alternative rock station - using the remote at his side. With that, he promptly turns up the stereo again - sneaking out like she did was such a juvenile thing to do and he was too busy plotting how to keep her in line in the future to care what she did for the rest of that morning.
