Subject: Attacked and Abused

I come asking for prayer from all who will pray. Satan keeps coming up with strange and unique ways to attack me from within, and I am always the sucker. It seems for the past few months, I have hardly been able to focus on God much at all. I have come to realize tonight that I really don't know who Christ is. I know who he is historically, but not personally, as a human being. I do not understand his feelings as a result of sin, etc...I have not been in the Word nearly as much as I should have been, and I have few opportunities to just sit down and do so. Realizing this is like being stabbed in the heart, it is so painful inside. I want to know God so intimately that he becomes like a best freind here on earth, not just a ruler in heaven. But, I am afraid that I am not willing to do what it takes to achieve this intimacy. Satan keeps coming up with new and unique attacks on me, and I give in, which pulls me away from Christ. As a leader, I have many looking up to me, and I cannot imagine pulling these people down by not being the example that I should be, so please pray that I will have the desire to do what it takes to draw near to Christ and to resist the devil. I appreciate it.
