Cottony clouds scuttled hurriedly 'cross deepening periwinkle, chased by menacing cast iron thunderheads. Mirthless forces clothed the earth in gray misery, ancient war-drums warming up with promising tremors. Summery atmosphere drained across the horizon, shadows quickly ushering out the last glimpse of gold. Blackness creeping eerily o’er the earth's surface, faint torching flickers lit the distant edge of the earth. Suspended in time, the storm advanced with a vengeance. First smattering of liquid splashed drearily upon the waiting ground. With a shattering tremor, the thunder sounded its indifference and the skies opened in a drenching torrent. Fury alternated with swift flickers of light and deep cries of thunder, the silence between was with the roar of acid rain. Within a sudden, split fraction of light, two contours were lined with electricity. Hues remaining indiscernible, but each outline seemed a mirrored image. Depth perception thrown precariously by tumultuous white-light, contorted images slowly slid into place and locked with jigsaw precision. Sudden flashes of jaded raven ebony flickered in deep satin shades of purple and blue. Alongside it were simple snatches of a purest gold. Each breath was drawn in time as the two acted with one mind. Frightful gusts of wind teased the pair as long stride stopped. Squarely facing the onslaught of the elements, eager attention shone in their young faces. Pure energy coursed through each cell; the fire and strength bred from their father and the purest grace and precision derived from their mother. Having heard the whispered names upon the wind, the pair had journeyed to the rumored valley where others had been said to have appeared. Accompanied by a stream of pure, silvery laughter, a deep masculine voice rolled in deep baritone across the tormenting elements… <+>
