In reply to: Robert L 's message, "Re: 2001 Taurus SES Water Leak, passanger floor area" on 09/30/02 6:57pm

My dad is the second owner and knows the original owner. The vehicle has never been in an accident and the windshield has never been out of the vehicle. In upstate NY where he lives they have had very little rain in the last 3 years until this year that is. So the original owner never experienced the water leak.

I am a disabled Certified FLM Master tech. I broke my back several years ago at work and I no longer have access to oasis or the tech hot line. I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a common problem with the 2001 Taurus for water leaks that collect in the front passenger floor area.

Of course I am in Florida and my dad is in upstate NY so I cant look at the vehicle myself, but you cant see much from a wheelchair anyway.

I know the dealer my dad has been taking the vehicle to and, well lets just say training has never been a priority.

Dealers in the area are few and far between so he does not have much of a choice as to where he takes it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Barry
