It's kinda hard to help without more information. Has anyone hooked up a scanner and gotten any codes? What did the old fluid look like and is the level correct? Below is some diagnostic information from the shop manual that may help. If you have more Information I may be able to help pinpoint the problem but with out being able to test drive the car I cant say for sure. what city do you live in I may know some one ther that could help?

SHIFT CONCERNS: FEEL � SOFT/SLIPPING Possible Component Reference/Action
213 � ELECTRICAL ROUTINE
Powertrain Control System
� Electrical inputs/outputs, vehicle wiring harnesses, powertrain control module (PCM), transaxle fluid temperature (TFT) sensor, throttle position sensor, internal harness
� Run On-Board Diagnostic; refer to Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual for diagnosis. Carry out Pinpoint Test B ; refer to pinpoint test under Diagnostics in this section.

313 � HYDRAULIC/MECHANICAL ROUTINE
Fluid
� Incorrect level
� Adjust the fluid to the correct level.

� Condition
� Carry out inspection; refer to Fluid Condition Check in this section.

Shift Linkage (Internal/External)
� Damaged, out of adjustment
� Inspect and repair as required. Verify linkage adjustment; refer to Section 307-05 . Verify that the digital transmission range (TR) sensor is correctly adjusted; refer to Transmission Range (TR) Sensor in this section.

Fluid Filter and Seal Assembly
� Damaged, partially plugged
� Inspect for damage. Repair as required.

Incorrect Pressures
� Low line pressure
� Carry out Line Pressure Test; refer to the Line Pressure Chart. If pressures are low, check the following possible components: Fluid filter and seal assembly, main control, pump assembly.

Pump Assembly
� Bolts out of torque specification
� Tighten bolts to specification.

� Inspect for damage. Install new components as required.
