Subject: 1995 Ford Explorer blinking overdrive light

My overdrive light is blinking. If I reset the computer, it will go back on after about a half an hour. On slow down, the explorer shifts rough, or hard into the lower gear. I notice that the front end vibrates a little when the light goes on also. The suv runs great for that half an hour with no problems. On the slow downs, I now have to shift in nuetral to avoid the hard shift. I have looked on the internet for the problem, and many are listed. Is it a valve, solanoid, torque converter. I may have to get a code read on it. Any other suggestions? Please Help!
