"madam, i am the stranger, and this is my charge, disconnected. we seek momentary refuge in your lands...we do not plan to stay long, but we do require to be near others like us while we remain. if you have no problem with this, please allow us to remain in your blessed area." pleasing baritone that reveals nothing but modest respect leaves his vocal cords unburdened with the usual pain of speech, the simplest thing bringing the most painful recollections. unreadable earth toned hues seek the expression of the queen before sliding to his responsibility in what might be read as unconcious respect to her supreme might. sweetest little thing and meanest little queen...all rolled into one... gentle whimper of fear leaves the yearling's lips as she curls her elfin figure ever closer to her protector, gazing at this mare with distrust showing clearly within her crystal blue eyes that once owned enough spirit for two, and now barely contain enough for a smaller existence. she cowers pitifully within the shadow of the stranger, awaiting the cruel judgment of fate. you can stitch the tear, but it will never be the same. you can douse the fire but it won't erase the flame. an ignorant can always find a window they can smash, but a genius can't reassemble broken glass.
