As usual, he had been lazing on the couch in just a pair of shorts even though the temperature was starting to cool down quite a bit. It was a slow time of year for all the surf babies - tours were winding down, the shops weren't getting to much business and the waves just didn't want to coroporate even for the casual surfer. So, he spent a good deal of his time stretched out on either the couch or the floor, watching A&E, the discovery channel or the history channel. He had been happily watching Dog the Bounty hunter when her mother had come into the apartment. He still could never forget how Tia managed to get into the place - hadn't he locked the door? Yet, there she was, Alecia in tow who promptly jumped on him and threatened his vital parts. Sticking his tongue out at her, he looked up at Tia with a raised brow, a playful, exagerated groan escaping his lips when she started her tirade on the advantages of being married. She brought up living in sin - even just jokingly - and Blake had to laugh, wondering what the woman would say if she knew Blake had never had sex with Arista. They had been together nearly two years and still were chaste in their relationship. He wasn't exactly sure why, it wasn't that he didn't want her but he just...he wanted it to be special for her, she deserved more than just sex. He respected her more than the girls he had been with in the past and when it came to her, sex just wasn't the most important aspect of their relationship. He valued her for so many reasons other than and he wanted her to understand that fully. Shaking his head, he lifted Alecia in the air, causing her to squeal before he shushed her.

Ari smiled at her step mom as she wandered over and pressed a kiss to her cheek, sitting up and assuring her it would be fine, telling her they'd drop them home after they'd eaten. She lowered herself onto the floor and scooted forward to the TV to help Alecia with the Movie, taking the disney movie from the little girl and loading it up. Laila followed Blake into the kitchen and sat herself at the counter, asking him enthusiastically about other guys on the ciruit and their girlfriends, while Abbi hauled her little sister into her lap on the couch and made space for Arista. Ari liked helping her parents out, she adored them both, and her little sisters, and she really didn;t mind spending time with them, especially since she travelled aorund with Blake so much. He got dinner started before he headed out towards the living room, pausing to rest against the doorway as he watched the way she cuddled up on the couch with her sisters. It was such a little domestic scene and he couldn't help but picture the way that she would look with his kids around her, all settled in and happy with her lot in life. She had been pretty much grown up when her sisters became any fun, but she had certainly made up for it since her flighty teenage years. Arista had always worried that she would turn into her mother- her real mother- that she'd never feel settled or content anywhere. She had just been getting into the kiss when she heard the dulcet tones of their interuption in the form of her fourteen year old sister, and she almost guiltily unknoted her hands from her boyfriends shirt, clearing her throat and grinning a touch at his sassy remark. He had told her once what had happened- but only the bare necessities- he'd met a girl, got her pregnant and both her and the child had died, that much she knew- but she didn;t know anything else... and she presumed if he ever wanted to talk about it or share it that he would tell her when he felt ready. He just smiled at that, nuzzling gently at her neck as he let out a soft breath and pressed a kiss to her jaw. "You'll be a great mom." He stated softly, his eyes on her for a moment. It was a lot to risk, letting her get pregnant and maybe that was a part of the reason he hadn't sleep with her yet, unwilling to take that risk. Evie had died giving birth and he was terified to take that risk with Blake, he would die if anything happened to her and never forgive himself if something happened to a baby of theirs. She smiled and let her eyes slide closed and he nuzzled her neck, imagining them with kids of their own. She wasn't really sure on the delay of their engagement, but she wasn't too worried- it would happen when it was right- she knew he loved her and she was sure they'd spend the rest of their lives together- happily. She lifted her lips to his to kiss him sweetly, just as she heard Alecia let out a shreiking cry from the other room. She frowned and broke the kiss, listening as an arguement ensued between the two older girls over whos fault it was that their little sister got trodden on. She slipped out of their room and hushed the girls, picking up her youngest sister and helping the girls organise themselves as she bounced the little girl on her hip naturally. He smiled warmly and watched her go before he went to change into a pair of jeans and a black v-neck sweater with a white beater underneath it. His blonde hair fell over his forehead in unruley waves but he had long since learned there was nothing he could do to control them. He smirked at his reflection and shrugged before heading out the door and to the living room. "Alright, everything all clean?" He questioned, raising his brow as he looked around at the girls - with his luck he was going to have all girls and even though he was going to adore whatever children he had, the idea of this many girls overwhelmed him. Ari grinned as he appeared in the doorway, arching a brow to him before nodding a touch "All clean, all ready." She grabbed the house keys and ushered the girls out, all except for Alecia who clung onto his leg, begging to be picked up and carried.
It was several hours later when they returned home minorless- having dropped her sisters home with Tia and her dad- and being talked into staying for a coffee and a chat. It made her feel so grown up- taking the kids out, taking her boyfriend to have coffee with her parents. It seemed a little surreal. Arista shrugged off her shirt as they entered, wearing a tank beneath it, and let down her long thick curls, a smile still dancing over her lips. "I had a great night baby, thanks" She dropped into the couch, resting her head back with a sigh "I hope we dont have that many girls. They would drive me insane I think..." A smile played over his lips as he stretched out lazily on the couch, his eyes up on the ceiling. He had been gone for a week on a short little stunt, flown in to do the photoshoot for some surfing magazing and flown back as soon as he could. He was starting to realize he was becoming somewhat of a homebody, he was content to be here, in their apartment with her and the dogs. His arms moved over his head as he stretched out his back before he turned on his side, watching the tv absently as he wondered where his girl was. She was going out grocery shopping and really if he wasn't such a lazy bum he would have gone with her but that just required so much effort. Now of course he was feeling guilty about it so as soon as he saw her car through the patio door he pulled on a hoodie and slipped on his shoes to head down there and get the bags out of the car for her...

She glanced as he headed out to help her, offering him a tender grin as she dropped the back of the truck. Her dark curls were braided back form her face, a pair of jeans low on her hips with a chunky knitted cream, tight fitting sweater hugging her slender form- it had been her winter project that she had done marvelously well with. "Hey baby, catch up on your sleep?" She had missed him while he was away, like she always did, but she had been content at home. Since she had been with him, she didn;t long to jump on the next plane out of here like she had before she;d gotten with him, she wasn;t itching to explore- she was content to just stay here and do the home thing- worked in her dads board shop, took care of the dogs, spenmt tiome with him when he could spare it. She was sat out on the back porch with a pina colada in her hand, watching the waves peacefully as a soft smile played over her exoctic features. The dogs were exhausted from their day on the beach while she had worked at her dad's place, and had collapsed in their baskets for the night while she waited for him to get back from his weekend trip on to the island. She had intended going with him but her dad had been desperate for the help- and she could never refuse her daddy.
Things were going more or less perfectly for them. They were happy, content, madly in love. Things didn;t seem like they could get any brighter. She pushed her dark mahoganny curls back form her bronzed face and shoulders, the brazilians rich skin tones enhanced by the warm glow of the beautiful sunset that relefted in the water.

She headed in with a couple bags of groceries with Amber and Spike following along behind obediently, the pup still pretty long legged but he was growing into himself, the old rocky very much taking on the mother role to the young pup. She was definately appreciating the warmer weather- it had been summer when they left Australia and they came back to a cold winter here, and the sunshine was an improvement. Her long dark curls were tugged up in a messy ponytail, sweats low on her narrow, bronzed hips with a matching tight fitted hoody that revealed a glimpse of her toned stomach. She'd already been tot he beach, running, training, hit the waves for a while.

It was much later in the day that she finally woke again, her body clock all off. She expected to look outside and see sunrise, not sunset. She stretched a little, nusseling against him as she opened her eyes, feeling much more refreshed and part of the world. She smiled gently to see him sleeping... so many mornings she had woken like this, the sun baking hot outside, waves waiting for them... but this seemed just as perfect, and even more naturel. Back home again, like when they were just teenagers... she often wondered how they could have just let things ended, had no faith in the reality of their relationship... when years on, they were just as perfect for each other as they had always been.

She had been delighted to see the snow as they landed, and even after their long, tenious flight she was bursting with excitement, her bronzed skin even turning a little rosey in the cold as she walked from the car to the apartment door, tugging her suitcase along on its battered wheels behind her. So much had happened in her life in the past four months she couldn't even begin to process it, her mind was just one long photoalbum- snapshots of the best few months of her life, to go with the two scrap books she had filled with all of his sucesses, the score sheets, the posters, the articles about him, the interviews he gave, something from each place they visited... and a whole mountain of photographs. They'd been abd picked out a puppy from the shelter, it was completely different to Amber, a cute little fluffy golden retriever pup... and they'd just gotten back from the vets and she was satisfied that Amber didn't hate him... so he stayed... not that she could have taken him back anyway... Jade was at her parents house, sulking and moping with the kids, and she and Blake had come back to his place...with the new pup. She hadn't been to his place yet... he'd still been living with his parents when they had been together and so this was a new place for her.

Raw pain flashed across her features for a moment, she was willingly to put him over work, and he wasn't willing to do the same for her. Thats the way she was seeing it. Anger hid the pain that she didn't want to admit to as she stood up - grabbing her pager from him and checking the number before she slipped into onto her pocket, unlocking the desk drawer and retrieving her gun.
