She shrugged a touch, her eyes going to the tv as the first part of the disney moving came on - she loved the previews, enjoyed seeing what was coming next in the world and all that. She was amazingly adept at the close captioning, could read along without missing a thing on the screen. He frowned a little at her lack of chiding response and smile, but nestled down beside her - her silence, usually something so familiar that he had learned to deal with, felt strange and abrasive right now. He gave her a little squeeze, watching her for a moment, her rapt eyes on the screen, the way her fingers curved around a candy as she drew it to her mouth - everything about her was beautiful and pure and innocent, and in contrast, everything about him was dirty, high speed and covered in scandal.
