Not really as long as the tempature is normal and the cooling fans are running then it shouldnt be more then just the heater core. Mine is doing the same problem as yours but i wont bother with it now since spring is comming.. If the blower is working and the coolent is cycleling then the heater core is starting to die out..very commin thing to happen. mines a 93 so i dont see how they go out so fast. I dont know if maybe u can help me out with this problem..my car runs ok..the cooling fan does not work when the car is on. i hot wired both fans and they work when applying power to them.. when my car starts to over heat, i turn it off and then the cooling fan kicks on. but if i turn the key half way to where the dash lights come on the fan shuts off. when i turn the key back it turns back on till it is done cooling the radiator..Anything problem you ran into??
