The fuel filter is actually located inside the fuel tank as part of the fuel level sending unit assembly. According to the shop manual, it is not replaced at a certain mileage or at a certain elapsed time, but should be replaced whenever the pressure at the fuel rail drops below a certain level.

You might call your local dealer and ask how often they recommend replacement, but unless you suspect your engine is starved for fuel, I'd leave it alone....just my 2cents....Glen
