A few years ago I posted here about finding a dead mouse in its nest in my air filter box. Guess what I found last week? Yet another mouse had built a nest in there as well!
While doing routine maintenance, I popped the top of the airbox and saw a pile of lint and leaves. Then I saw the mouse move and head down one of the air intake tubes. I got rid of the nest and vacuumed out the airbox.
I then cut up some old screen and wired it to the bottom of the 2 air intake tubes, having to remove the battery.
Apparently the mouse had been bored, he chewed the bottom of the air filter while in his nest.
He has left little calling cards in the engine bay of this and some other cars in my driveway, but no nests or chewed wired yet. Has anyone else found a nest in their airbox like I have?
