The timing belt on the Hondas are good to 110K per the manual - did you have a problem with it?

They do have a specific sequence in how you tension the belt, so if the mechanic does not have the Honda procedure, he may not have tensioned it properly. A skipped tooth should cause performace issues, I believe.

Also, I believe the front engine mount has to be removed when you pull the belt off, so perhaps he did not put that mount back on the same way? Just some ideas....Glen
