I own a 1989 Honda Accord. Considering it's 2007, I know, the car is old, but I love it. The vehicle uses no oil, not a drop, rides nice and is reliable. Here's the issue:
When I start the car up on cold days < 50f, the idle is initally 2000 - 2500 rpm's but only for about 2 seconds, then the idle drops to 1000 and runs rough, like it's getting too much gas (can tell through exhaust emmisions). I hold the pedal down to maintain 2000 rpm's. After about 3 minutes, the engine runs fine, the idle is normal (normal 2000 high idle) then the vehicle warms up, the idle drops and the car runs fine. I let the car sit for 8 hr or so (cools completly off), then the process starts again. Any help would be appreicated as I'm at my witts end.

Frank
