Subject: Anyone looking for some good character piece writings about Xander and others should check this out

"He is bright, funny, and will one day be suave and handsome. Til that day arrives, he'll do the best he can with bright and funny."

This quote from the shooting script of "Welcome to the Hellmouth" was Joss Whedon's first comments about Alexander Lavelle Harris. I find that interesting because this is exactly the way he has been protrayed over the seasons. He was bright, and funny during the first few years (seasons 1-3) and now seems to be changing. There is no question that season four was the beginning of the change for Xander.

He went from being a big part of the gang to being the outsider. He struggled with finding himself in the outside world and had to live in the basement. There's a very interesting site that I found recently that has character descriptions of not only his character but everyone's. The writer has Xander down to a T and I throughly enjoyed it. It shows why Xander is the way he is and talks about his different relationships, his part in the SG, etc... One of the best pieces of writing that I've ever seen on the character. Check it out if you'd like.
