Hi,
Every three months a meeting is held with representatives of the four city councils and the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC), Transit, cycle clubs and advocates for cyclists and their safety.
My contribution to the meeting is on behalf of the Vets. I have a email from our club captain expressing his concerns for some of the poorly designed and constructed areas which are far from being cycle friendly.
If you have recently been involved in a collision , felt threatened while negotiating your way on a ride to work or in training then please email the council of the area responsible with your concerns/complaint . I would like a copy to get an idea of how many other cyclists are having the same problem.
