Subject: New Members

It's interesting coming back into the club after 12 years away to realise how unwelcoming members are. Maybe it's
that "hard man" image cyclists like to think they have but whatever, it isn't a particularly friendly atmosphere at club events. And I'm a committee member so I probably know more people than most newcomers! Similarly with assistance at club events. I'm astounded by the lack of members coming forward to race manage or amrshall or does everyone think that if you're mug enough to go on the committee then you're mug enough to officiate at all the races?
