Subject: My dog has a swollen abdomen..its getting worse..

I have a pekingese/poodle dog who is about 12 years old. His problem is in his abdominal area. It has swelled severely, to such an extreme point that he cannot jump on our sofa anymore and i believe he is in terrible pain. This problem just started a few days ago,(or at least thats when i noticed it) and when i touch his abdomen...it feels like its getting bigger every day. Please help me. I can barely afford ensurance for myself and now my dog is sick and i cant afford to take him to the vet. I know how expensive it will be,however, i do not want to neglect the poor thing. If there is anyone out there with some answers...please e-mail me ASAP. I cannot bare to see him like this for much longer.
