Subject: Pekingese intelligence

I have an adorable Pekingese dog named Nicky(sometimes, call him Nickaboy). He continually amazes me with his
comphrension of things and his outstanding ability
to communicate. Our nightly walks are social visits
in which Nick visits neighborhood friends. Last night, he stood in front of the house waiting for a dog friend.
The friend was barking, wanting out, from a glass door.
After waiting awhile , I tell Nicky that we might as well on because ,maybe, there's no one there to let his friend out. Nicky starts to walk away, encounters the
garage, sees the car, looks at me with those intense,
I know something eyes, goes back toward the house and
proceeds to look for his friend, again. Can't fool this boy!I am amazed more is not said anout the amazing ways
they communicate. Nicky can convey so much through his

faciAL expressions and the intensity of his eyes. The other night, I lured him away from one friemd's house ny saying, we'll viSit Maybelle, another dog friend. We go across, wait awhile, then I say, it's time to go. I look at Nickaboy and his facial expression is saying 'I thought you wanted to see Maybelle' loud and clear. The combination of facial expression and intensity of his eyes 'speaks 'very well.
