Hello Nika. Your Pekingese will probably finish to be around 10lbs would be my guess. Some pekes are lighter and some are heavier. The weight limit for the Pekingese Breed is 14lbs, any dog over the weight limit, can not be shown. A good show quality Pekingese will have a nice thick long coat.

"A dog is only as good as the genetics behind him". This means if your dog has some good strong genes in his family heritage for coat, he will produce a nice quality coat. This all depends on the quality of the pet. It doesn't make him or her any different when it comes to love but if you decided to take your Pekingese in the ring, then a good coat is a must!
As for being long. Female Pekes are usually a bit longer than the males but not entirely so either. For show purposes you want your Pekingese to look short and compact, not like a Dachshund.
