When the leaders fail to honor their oaths of office, the masses pay for it. While I agree with you in principle, I don't believe that the rank and file soldier feels that what he is doing is a violation of his military pledge. I believe that most are doing what they do in the integrity of their hearts and I honor them for that. I look at Lt. Watada as a hero. I believe that both Cricket and Eppy honor their husbands for thier military service. I don't have a problem with that. I don't have to agree with it, but I respect people of principle. I believe that most military believe that they are serving and protecting their country. I believe that there are a few rotten eggs, and like before, whether it's 10 or 1000, it's too many and I would like to see them brought to justice.
I feel bad that we suffer so much at the expense of unrighteous leaders. As President Benson said, if our country falls, it will be crushed from within, not from foreign nations.
