Let me put it this way: I know the nurse who helps GIs with GWS. If they had uranium poisoning from DU weapons, it would be non contagious (and their families have GWS), and it would not respond to anti biotic treatment, which GWS has.
I also know a fair amount who were over there in the DMZ of Iraq after GWI and don't have it, and were tested for uranium poisoning and don't have it, and they were in tanks.

I know a couple of vets who do have it who were nowhere near the front lines.
