I finally took the time to slog through this. It sounds a lot like Vietnam to me. If we were there to "win" I think we have the abity to get it done and get it over with. I'm not totally convinced that it's Rumsfeld's incompetence so much as it might have as much or more to do with those who have financial interests in
the war.

The parts that most irk me are the suggestions about how we should be doing this or that with Iraq's government. I don't think we should be messing with their government any more than we would want another country to try to force a different type of government upon us. Like President Benson said about Vietnam, in my opinion regarding Iraq, "we have no business being there."
