tubel preg. The Tube must be removed to save the mothers life or it will rupture...thus both the baby and the mother dies.

I'm not talking about cancer treatments or the like but very rare cases where if the baby isnt taken(maybe very early with something like a c section) right away the mother will die....and if the mother dies the baby dies.

This is rare to HAVE to take a baby early but it does happen and IMHO since a prophet of God has given the mothers life as one reason(very rare) then taking the baby early...maybe to early to survive should be keept legel.
I trust the Prophet to not lead us astray and since he was talking as the mouth piece of Heavenly Father then I will just have to trust that there is something about the whole thing I do not understand.

As far as rape or incest I think if we can educate women into KNOWING that is it an Assault and to obtain medical help right away(within hrs) then medication can be given before the egg ever implants itself in the womb(making it impossible for implantation)
Once again since a prophet of God has listed this as one of the possible reasons IMHO it should remain legel.

I dont know why the Prophet listed that if the baby is deemed to not live past birth as a reason for a possible abortion but since he is still with us and was not taken then I have to asume he has not lead us astray.

He did not say we Have to have an abortion but that those very very rare situations were the only ones where one should even be concered.
But even then with much fasting and praying.

IMHO in those cases and thouse cases alone should abortion be legel.

Notice that in the case of the mothers health it is mostly a have to deliver the baby early, maybe to early...not chopping it up and giving the baby at least a chance.

If I found out that my barely phys mature 12 yr old daughter had been raped and is now pregnant I would certainly stronly consider an abortion so her life is also protected...I doubt the scumbag man would ever reach trail...not if I had anything to do with it if you know what I mean!

If she told me right away I would take her to the e-room imed so she could have the meds needed to prevent implantation.
I dont think this is making the baby pay for the fathers crimes as much as it is protection the little girl that is now pregnant by someone who should be hung from the nearest tree!

I dont think she should be forced to have the baby but I dont think she should be forced into an abortion either.
That is a very very difficult situation.
Once again it dont have to be an abortion...not the kind we think of where the baby is chopped up.
If meds are given right away then that kind of abortion is not nessasary.
I know...
an abortion is an abortion and I know I'm beating the dead dog to death here but the prophet has spoken in reguards to the abortion issue.

Baby will not live past birth(the case I heard of was a baby who had no brain AT ALL and the mother was basicly his life support unit...he would not live past birth and the mother had a serious condition where the baby HAD to be delivered early...very sad situation)

Now this does not mean ALL abortion should be legel.
If it was keept legel for only those reasons wouldnt it make almost 95% of the other abortions illegel?

I hope I didnt sound mean or angry or preachy...That was NOT my intent. Plus I know this is a very very very charged subject and I do not mean to say that anyone who feels differently does not follow the prophet...I'm just to sleepy to figure out a better way of saying it right now.
Will try to do better....manybe tomorrow if I have time to get on line.
