how much one compromises. I want to eat chicken tonight, dh wants pizza, we compromise. I want a tan carpet, dh wants a green carpet, we compromise. Compromise on some things is OK, but there are certain things in our marriage that can never be compromised. For example I will never compromise on fidelity. I will never compromise on alchohol in the house.

In politics there are certain principles that can never be compromised. Unfortunately our LDS politicians are so steeped in humanism that they have no clue when their compromises violate eternal principles.

So in that sense, yes, the answer does lie in education. Isa 5:13 keeps coming to mind "My people are gone into captivity because they have no knowledge." Yes, I do think that we are becoming enslaved because we have no knowledge--no knowledge of the Constitution, or of our heritage, the fundamental principles of self rule, etc.
