is for every LDS woman to quit working and take just one Christian friend with her. Just quit. Yes, it would be scary, there would be lean times. But we are 2 million strong and it would start an avalanche--other good Christian women would follow our example.

Once even 20% of women quit the work force, wages would go up, jobs would become more stable, no more moving every 2-3 yrs to stay employed. The law of supply and demand would take over. AND it would also put a crimp in the way taxes are structured--forcing a decent national debate and perhaps (maybe this is wishful thinking) meaningful reform.

But once women are home to take care of their babies and their dh's are earning real wages, they will have more time to turn to community involvement--volunteerism and being politically active!! That could be what's really scaring our politicians. Imagine the force to be reckonned with if women no longer were tied to a desk! We could REALLY change things then.

So for now that's my dream....that every LDS woman quit working.

(And this is a perfect example of how thick-headed Bush is)
