You’re right that doing something isn’t the same thing as doing the right thing. It’s like my old boss used to tell me about when he was in the Marines. If someone starts shooting at you, DO SOMETHING, don’t just stand there. Pretty soon, you’ll know if you’re moving in the right direction or not. Well, it’s obvious (to me, anyway) that Bush is running in the wrong direction. For four years, he has shown his incompetence as the CIC and his disdain for the Constitution and his oath of office. While I love him as a child of God, I have a tremendous amount of disdain towards him as a leader. Whatever the democrats are doing, it can’t be as bad as the direction we are going. There is no way to go but up at this point. I know that Harry Reid is just positioning. Everyone knows that. Bush will veto the bill and there won’t be enough votes to over ride it. But in the long run, this is going to hurt the republicans, big time. By the end of 2008,democrats are going to control both houses and the executive office. And I look forward to it. Even if it means that I have to learn to say “President Clinton” again. As bad as she is, on her worst day, she won’t be half as bad as Bush has been. And I laugh when I imagine American soldiers having to salute her! Oh my, what a joke that will be . . .

“There are a lot of things that aren't right which leads me to believe that we are facing the apathy and weakness that was foretold for this nation in the Book of Mormon.”

No doubt about it.
