Senator Kerry authored some of the provisions in the Patriot Act. As to free speech, much of that is security
and those where were targeted did not end up in the ChimpenFuhrer's Gulag At Gitmo.
Furthermore, as to suppression of free speech we have the Fairness Doctrine starting to rear its ugly head. Surely you can't mean that the Democrats would ever regulate the market when that Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has co opted the MSM and talk radio...;)
