I have to think that Pres. Hinckley was speaking as a man in that instance.

It's not just the black and white thinking that bothers me (sometimes B&W is appropriate. Like fidelity or adultery, pretty B&W question to my way of thinking.) it's that all debate or discussion is stifled and cut off. I think that when discussion or debate are cut off, you drastically limit the potential for all of us to gain wisdom.


Thinking about this on an early Tuesday morning, would black and white thinking re infidelity exclude forgiveness and then disallow further discussion to be stifled and cut off? And/or limiting the gift of growth, wisdom after the fact?
