Sunday, December 14, 9:00am -Hike ~ Section 8 of the M-M Trail (Mt. Norwottuck-Horse Caves-Long Mountain) ~ Notch Visitor Center ~ This hike ascends the ridgeline to Mt. Norwottuck; descends through the Horse Caves of Daniel Shays fame; traverses Rattlesnake Knob; and ascends and descends Long Mountain. As we hike the ridgeline we will have some very attractive vistas, primarily toward the north. The hike will be approximately 6 miles in length along a moderate trail. Bring water, a snack, good hiking footwear, and your camera. Plan to do the November 23rd hike (see above) and you will have hiked the entire ridgeline of Skinner Mount-Mount Holyoke Range. Meet at the Notch Visitor Center at 9:00am. Hike Leader: Richard Harris (413) 335-5012 RLenHarris(a),hotmaiL com
