You step into your studio/apartment, and lean against the door. Oh my God... you think. It just hits you where you'll be this evening. Dining at Kenneth Irons mansion. How the hell that happened you're still not exactly sure, but it's best to just go with it. You sigh, and scrub a hand through your hair. You have a feeling your life just got a whole lot more interesting.

Locking the door behind you, you go into the studio part of your apartment. It's a typical artist's studio. Messy but organized. Friendly clutter. You go over to the large window, and open it as far as it'll go. You lean against the windowsill, taking in the view. Once again you appreciate having an upper floor apartment. You let the breeze caress your face.

Getting a sudden attack of inspiration, you gather up the necessary paint and supplies, and set up an easel in front of the window. You begin to paint, trying to capture Kenneth Irons' likeness. As your brush swishes over the canvas, you think back to your encounter, drawing on memory for details. You want this to be accurate.

You stop painting after an hour. Studying what you have thoughtfully, you accidentally smudge a bit of paint on your cheek, but it goes unnoticed. Setting aside the paintbrush, you wipe your hands on a cloth, and glance at the clock. Six o'clock. Two hours... Plenty of time. You move your in progress painting aside to dry. You'll work on it later. Upon putting away the paint, and cleaning out the paintbrushes, you perch on the windowsill, gazing outside. It's absolutely gorgeous outside, the perfect weather. With a smile, you head to the closet. You've never worried about appearances before, but then again, you've never had dinner with someone of Kenneth Irons'... caliber.

You throw open the door to your closet, and study the clothing contained within thoughtfully. Flipping through the hangers, you peruse your choices, ignoring jeans and t-shirts. A pant suit, which you immediately discard, a wine colored silk dress, knee length and sleeveless, a black dress, also knee length, with a sheer red snakeskin print jacket, a red velvet halter dress, or a deep green mandarin style dress, with silver around the throat and the bottom hem, sleeveless, and a slit up the right front side. After much deliberation, you reach in and pull out the green dress. Laying it out on the bed, you then proceed to rummage around the bottom of the closet for appropriate shoes. Finding just the right pair of silver, open toe, strappy heels, you set them out. Going to your dresser, you choose two pieces of jewelry. A sliver claddagh ring, and a sliver bracelet.

You cast a glance at the clock. Seven oh five. You start getting ready. After zipping up the dress, you pin your hair up, leaving loose tendrils framing your face. The ring goes on the third finger of your right hand, and the bracelet on your left wrist. Strapping on your shoes, you study your reflection in the dresser mirror. Light touch of makeup, and a few spritzes of Curve perfume, and you're just about ready. Your jacket of choice is a sleek looking lightweight trench. Pulling it on, you stroll out the door, that same flock of butterflies fluttering away...
