The Birch Glade is named so for the ring of thick, silver-white birches that form an oval. The Rian Cariad now has a litter of twelve Plenyt, six Fachs, and six Bachs. She resides here with her 'Mate, Llynmynydd, while their Bonded share a nearby Haupton.

  • Giving it the old High-School try! (Which probably means I'm going to fail =p) -- Elpis, 12:12:09 06/12/02 Wed
Elpis came into the clearing himself at that moment, striding in with an almost preternatural grace, his long braid of blue hair swinging gently behind him. Though his expression didn't really go with the rest of his body at that moment, being that it seemed almost set in stone, and was an emotionless mask. When he finally came to the site of the birth, he stopped before the litter of plenyt, he dropped to one knee, one arm crossed across his chest in an elaborate bow.
"You honor me with this chance to fulfill my dreams, I thank you." He said to the Rian, his head still bowed, and his eyes still averted submissively. Then he stood again a moment later, the ever slightest downturning of a frown tickling at the side of his lips. "And you have some very . . ." He paused a moment, his frown becoming more apparent as he searched his mind for the right word. "Strong looking children." He finished somewhat lamely, knowing that word wasn't quite the right thing to say. And his fluster was only made worse when he belatedly realized that every other person vying for one of the plenyt had brought a gift of some type, a concept he hadn't thought of. "And, I bring this as a gift to you and your children." He said, only pausing for a moment as he reached up with his right hand and removed a delicate, silver chain necklace that had been hanging around his neck. Then he held it out to the Rian, and waited somewhat tensely, for her approval, or disapproval.

  • Entrance (repost of thing before) -- Vyusher, 21:35:43 06/11/02 Tue
Vyusher moves through the forest towards the Glen, his movements cal and natural in the forest. As he walks, absolutely no sound comes from the forest around him, no sign that he is there. Natural birdsong drifts down around him, and his eyes are half-closed, reveling in the simple pleasure of the living forest, unlike in the Tainted Lands. He had been forced to pass through the Chaos-infested lands, and had been thrown wildly off-balance, his sense of what is right in the lands upset by the pure Chaos of the place. He shakes his head, and concentrates on the moment. No matter how upset he had been by that barren land, he would not be able to do a thing about it on his own His only hope lay in being able to Bond with a Wytti, so that his powers could awaken, and so that the two of them, the Wytti ad himself, could heal those awful Lands he shudders again, and forces his attention back once more. He has reached the clearing, and he bows deeply to the Rian and her Mate, as well at the Dwi to which they are Bonded.

Greetings! he offers them all a cheerful grin, his gold-flecked green eyes glittering with good humor. Meito to yana, asai koriya yassan, as my people say! In other words, a blessing on you, your family, and your Clan! I bring gifts for yourselves, and for the younglings! He reaches into several of the ouches that hang at his waist, producing several objects. The first is an elegant set of wine glasses for the Dwi themselves, the glass that they are made of painted with images of Wytti in flight. Somehow, the artist has managed to capture an image of Cariad on one glass, and an image of Llynmynydd on the other. He hands these to the Wytti respective Bondmates with a deep bow, and then continues.

A set of jewelry, formed and fitted so that it is clear they are decorations for a Wytti, are given to the Rian, with rubies inset in the gold pieces, while a matching set is given to her Mate, but with emeralds instead of rubies. Following that comes a small box, which seems pretty insubstantial compared to the other gifts, but when opened allows a simple, but very lovely, melody to drift out. ((Think the old music boxes Its spring-wound, btw)) The last gift is obviously for the Plenyt, as it is a set of toys; tug-of-war ropes, a bunch of padded balls, and a lovely set of jewelry made out of gold and silver, obviously intended for the future Rian When she grows up, that is It is too large for her at the moment.

I hope that the gifts I bring are satisfactory, and that you are pleased with them! He sweeps the group another deep bow, his emerald-streaked hair tumbling over his shoulders, providing a delightful contrast for his nearly-ebony skin. He glances around, noting that there are several others here as well, including two girls from his own people, which surprises him immensely, then he turns his attention back to the Rian and her Mate, waiting to see if he is approved or not
