The restaraunt's ceiling reaches upwards to 30 feet, and it is in fact made of trees themselves. Living trees are grown so closely together they literally form a wall. Tables and chairs are scattered throughout, with a bar along one side of the wall. A small stage for songs, skits, and the like runs along the other wall, and local musicians often come here for extra money, or simply to find an appreciative audience.

The silver Wytti leads the way into the resturaunt, and Shak follows gratefully. "Eating, the sport of kings." He remarks, sinking into a booth.

I wonder if I'm permitted to be here? Chwar remarks with some amusement lighting his eyes. Shak looks over to where Rhowen and Davni sit, and points out Afon.

"I'm quite sure if those two are allowed in, then you are." He hungrily appraises the menu and gives his order. When the food comes (and until there's someone to bring it), he digs in heartily, helped by his enthusiastic friend.

*winces* I haven�t Rped for a while, and as a human for even longer. This is terrible, and short, to boot� And for those of you out there who were wondering, I play the flute and piccolo. I know that piccolos are in two pieces nowadays, but I decided to have hers be single piece because it would be oh so much more convenient, albeit harder to clean. And the leather pouch she keeps it in is simply so she doesn�t have to carry it all the time.

The air was silent and still, which, for this time of night, was unusual. Not the faintest breath of zephyr stirred the emerald leaves of the trees surrounding the small path; Not even the shimmering notes of a nightingale penetrated the quiet blanket resting upon the earth. At this late hour, with the waxing moon high in the sky, sending silver light cascading in elegant pools upon the shadowed scene below, many of the creatures of the wood were asleep and unaware of the young woman�s lithe form draped across a bough high above. She had been there for several hours, unmoving, her silver hair for once freed and flowing gently about her shoulders and dangling into the open air below, mingling and merging with the pure and joyous light which was the symbol of the Goddess, mother of them all, until one could not tell which was one and which was the other. Her eyes, the pure, unmarred indigo of a clear sky just after sunset, appeared as perfectly cut sapphires embedded in a face of bronze, softened by the pale luminescence. So it remained, that simple, unshifting scene, until one wondered how long it had been thus � if time had halted, if the wheel which was life and time, turned by the God as the Goddess spun, had ceased to turn, and if the Goddess turned to weaving rather than spinning, weaving this scene of trees, and light, and that face, that clear, intense face, in the middle of it all, and yet entirely apart�

And then life began again, as a cricket, hidden in the foliage, sang nearby, and the human, Rhowe�non by name, stirred to life. Then, quickly as a wildcat, she rose and scurried down the broad trunk in a manner rather akin to that of a squirrel, then alighted upon the narrow footway. Pausing briefly to pull a twisted vine from the living trellis about the tree � a wise, age scarred old pine � and wrap it about her hair, she began to move swiftly towards some as of yet unseen destination.

I suppose I should stop by Whiteflower Restaurant to see if I can pick up a few coppers, not that there will be anyone there but myself, likely enough. Ah well � it shall be needed practice, if nothing else. Rhowe�non fondly fingered her piccolo, not exactly looking forward to the upcoming experience. Although she would not go so far as to say that she disliked others of her kind, she did not harbor overmuch love for them, either. Yet mayhap there would be a bonded pair there�

The Wytti, to be blunt, fascinated her. The daughter of a performer had not had much experience with other remarkably sentient species in her earlier life, and upon coming to Sicurheit Glen and seeing such creatures, she had wanted nothing more than to learn more about them. Bonding herself was probably out of the question, of course � she was an outsider, an outsider with extremely poor people skills at that � there was no reason why a Rian would permit one of her offspring to bond with someone such as herself. Not that she would not rejoice at the opportunity, of course, but� No, it wouldn�t happen. Best put it out of her mind for the time being, and focus on her performance.

Assuming, of course, that there was anyone else there, she had to decide what pieces to play. She couldn�t do much on her own, especially considering the fact that she could not sing while she played, and she did not want to do too much playing at once as hers was a rather shrill instrument. Perhaps switching off, between vocal and instrumental pieces� Yes, that would do it. And if anyone else had even the slightest musical skill, perhaps they could get a duet going. She hadn�t worked in collaboration with much more than the birds for some time � t�would be nice to get her skills sharpened a bit.

Finally, the restaurant came into view, and Rhowe�non strode through the "door" and from there across the dining hall, towards the musician�s stage. As she had predicted, there was no one within the safe haven of food and company at the moment besides herself. Pulling her single piece instrument from the leather pouch at her belt, she warmed up with a brief scale, then a simple jig she had learned when first beginning with the instrument. She then modulated into a complex love song � intended originally as a duet, but with a bit of improvisation as she went along she managed to, if not quite do the magnificent ballad full justice, sound as if she wasn�t performing half of a well rounded whole. It was a long piece, and she ended on a quiet, satisfied G trill rather than the solid E flat which was intended, swiftly moving on into a gentle melody for which she did not know the lyrics, not that it made much difference whether she did or not. About half way through, she began adding her own bits and pieces to it, until it became something of her own. Inwardly a bit surprised at how well it fit together � ordinarily she had to run through a composition multiple times, with quite a few modifications, until it sounded right � she continued to play, and soon was entirely lost in her music, woven into the world of sound, and joy, and peace.
