Sadly, most vets have little to no knowledge when it comes to nutrition food for all breeds, but especially Cresties. I WOULD NOT feed the Z/D, it still contains one of the top food allergens, soy. My suggestion would be to first eliminate ALL grains, there are quite a few grain free foods on the market now. I, personally, prefer the Natural Balance line (sweet potato/fish) and this is what all my dogs eat. I've yet to have a dog turn up their nose at this food. Wellness is also making a grain free called Core.
